How to: easily remove glitter polish!

So the holiday season is just around the corner and that means glitter polish time! Not to mention that it has been a huge trend for a while now and half of the nail polish you find at stores now is sparkly. Only downside to it: it's so hard to remove! Glitter polish is stubborn and no matter how much you rub it really just doesn't seem to come off.
So here is how I remove glitter polish in the most simple way, using things you probably already have at home! This trick also works nicely for gel nails if you don't want to fork out the money to have it taken off at the salon (I've had it done before and they basically do the same thing).

What you'll need:
- Nail polish remover
- Cotton pads
- Aluminum Foil
- Scissors
Step 1
Take 5 full cotton pads and cut them each in half. This will make 10 cotton pad pieces; one for each finger!
Step 2
Soak the cotton pad in nail polish remover.
Step 3
Apply it to your nail.
Step 4
Take a square of aluminum foil and wrap it around your finger so it completely covers the cotton pad and nail.
Step 5
Do the same thing for all your other fingers/nails and wait a few minutes. Then remove them and fix up any little remaining pieces that may have been left on the nail. And voila! Glitter polish be gone!

Hope you enjoyed this little nail trick!
Don't forget to apply some hand lotion and/or cuticle cream afterwards so it doesn't dry out your nails and cuticles.

  1. I've now started only wearing glitter on the tips, or in an ombre fashion, because of how difficult it can be to get off!! lol
